Field Trip Friday: December 4, 2015

Hello! It's December now and here's our roundup of YA-ish news from the past week.

Love this: author Kate Messner has gathered writing wisdom from 33 brilliant women who write kidlit.

So many congratulations to all the finalists for YALSA's 2016 William C. Morris Award and Nonfiction Award!

Whoo hoo! Our own Kaitlin Ward received a *starred* Kirkus review for her upcoming debut, BLEEDING EARTH.

Lorraine Berry writes thoughtfully on issues regarding class privilege and literature.

Wonderful. Every 16-year-old in Sweden will receive a copy of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s WE SHOULD ALL BE FEMINISTS.

Natasha Gilmore explores the representation of American Indians in current children literature.

Okay, keeping it short this week. Have a great weekend!
