Release Day: Daughters Unto Devils by Amy Lukavics

One of our beloved YA Highwayers, Amy Lukavics, debuts today with her brilliant YA horror novel DAUGHTERS UNTO DEVILS

We are so excited to celebrate with Amy, and we could think of no better way to honor Amy & her debut than by sharing some things in our homes that we think might be just a little bit possessed:

From Kristin H: "It's dark, it's quiet. I'm downstairs reading a book. I'm alone. Suddenly a slam sounds from upstairs. I'm 99.9% sure all the windows are closed, so it couldn't be a cross breeze shutting the bedroom door...but I'm sure as hell not going up there to find out."

Steph's image needed no caption.

From Kristin O: "I'm not certain if anything in my house is possessed, but the house itself has some haunted vibes going on. It's about 120 years old. The basement smells like a cave; we frequently wake up to weird bangs and bumps, and the neighbor kids swear they've seen eerie lights coming from our garden shed. Plus, did you notice that it's painted BLACK? Whaaat?"

From Kate: "This is Bernard. Bernard has been with me since 1999 and has survived eleven moves. I suspect Bernard has secrets."

Sumayyah's cat.

From Deb: "Clearly the only reason to have eyes this big is so you can suck the souls out of children."
And "Ditto".

From Kirsten: "There is a monster under my bed."

From Kaitlin: "Sometimes the door to my attic just swings open of its own free will. I'm not sure if the door is possessed or (an even scarier possibility) if something just likes to come down from there and see what I'm up to. I mean, this is where the door leads...:"
Wait what is that thing flowing out from the attic and down the it the girl from Amy's cover?? Uh oh.

  1. Seriously, just go read it. Highly recommended, 5/5 stars and 5/5 for horror too. This was the scariest thing I have read in years.
