Writing Horror: Scary Writing Prompt Game Winners!

Happy New Year's Eve, Spookies!

It is somehow the end of the year already, and although the scary writing prompt game has been quiet over the past few months, I'm here to announce this year's winners! But first, a few words on this feature of my heart:

The game has officially gone on for two full years with varying success, and while I will be continuing a fun, interactive horror feature in January, but it will be quite different than the previous games. Instead of having finish-the-story type prompts that require longer entries, we will be asking that participants answer each photo or phrase prompt by writing a Two Sentence Horror Story. These are incredibly fun and I am seriously chomping at the bit for next month to come so we can give it a whirl. More on that later!

For now...I am so pleased to announce that these two randomly selected winners will receive a Night of Horror care package from yours truly. Congratulations to:

Please email me at amy(dot)lukavics(at)gmail(dot)com to claim your prizes, and thank you so much for your participation! Next year will bring a new round of prizes, a new game (as described above,) and a new horror ringmaster to help me handle the spookier side of things here at YA Highway--our very own Kaitlin Ward, author of YA horror BLEEDING EARTH. We'll be like your very own pair of nerdy vampire queens, hehe. :)

2015 will be a very exciting year for YA horror! Can't wait to start our new game and spread the love of all things creepy. See you in January, Spookies!
