Cover reveal and ARC giveaway: OTHERBOUND by Corinne Duyvis!

Today we are so pleased to be able to share the gorgeous cover of Corinne Duyvis' forthcoming debut, OTHERBOUND. We hope that you love it as much as we do! There is also a signed ARC giveaway at the bottom of this post.

Corinne says of her cover:

I love so many things about this cover: the text itself almost seems like a glimpse into another world, that Nolan's eyes are closed and Amara's are open--and determined; the lovely detail of their skin (they have pores!); the way Nolan's calm Arizona blends into Amara's dangerous Dunelands . . . it's gorgeous. Thank you, thank you, thank you, to the artist, Vince Natale, to the cover designers, Chad W. Beckerman and Kate Fitch, and to Sara Edward Corbett, who did the wonderful typography.

Without further ado:

Summary:
Everyone has a theory about what’s wrong with Nolan. He has hallucinations. He has seizures. He has an overactive imagination. Or is what Nolan sees whenever he closes his eyes impossibly, fantastically real?

Nolan longs for a life uninterrupted. Every single time he blinks, he’s transported into the mind of Amara, a girl in another world. As a mute servant who’s tasked with protecting a renegade princess, Amara lives a life of magic and danger and pain; she’s completely unaware that Nolan can see through her eyes.

Until he becomes more than an observer. Until he learns to control her—and the two of them communicate for the first time. Amara is terrified. Then furious. She’s already spent a lifetime as property and punching bag. The last thing she needs is another force controlling her.

All Amara and Nolan want is to be free of each other. But Nolan’s breakthrough has dangerous consequences. Now, they’ll have to work together to survive . . . and discover the truth about their connection.

 Advance praise for OTHERBOUND

- Junior Library Guild Selection Spring 2014

"OTHERBOUND is a web of spells and counterspells, but Corinne Duyvis never loses sight of the bodies, minds and all-too-human emotions that absorb the impact of the magical power-plays. It's an action-packed tale of passion, possession and hair-raising leaps from world to world. As you read it, remember to keep breathing."- Margo Lanagan, author of Tender Morsels, Black Juice, and The Brides of Rollrock Island

"Completely captivating! I was trapped in Nolan and Amara's worlds as thoroughly as Nolan is trapped in Amara's. I loved every second of this fascinating, fantastic novel!"- Sarah Beth Durst, author of Vessel and Conjured

"OTHERBOUND is a deeply moving exploration of how circumstance and choice shape who we are. Duyvis is not afraid to follow the deeper questions of humanity, even as she delivers a nail-biting plot. I loved every word of this assured, powerful debut."- Karen Healey, author of Guardian of the Dead, The Shattering, and When We Wake

"With every blink of the eye and turn of the page, Duyvis transports us into the minds of two brave characters struggling to survive as their worlds both fall apart around them and weave together in ways they could never expect. A wonderful debut." - Laura Lam, author of Pantomime

OTHERBOUND is releasing June 17th from Amulet Books, an imprint of ABRAMS. You can add it on Goodreads, and you can preorder it at IndieBound, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble.

  20. I think the cover is absolutely beautiful. The only thing I don't like about it is the lightning on Amara's side. I've never been a fan of lightning on book covers - it very rarely managed not to look tacky for me.
But other than that, so gorgeous.~

And this book looks so interesting! I need to get my hands on a copy. *o*
