Aw, sorry I was too late to join the party. Something that struck me about Will was his confidence in approaching Zoe in the first place. He'd come from such a horrible place, yet he found the internal resources to empathize with Zoe. Like mentioning the bruises everyone else ignored. To me, this was the most endearing thing about Will. After all he'd been through, he offered Zoe sanctuary with, seemingly, no fear of rejection.
