In the last presidential election, 56% of eligible voters cast a ballot. That also means nearly half of eligible voters didn't.
The right to vote is what this country is founded upon. We are the future for which our founding fathers dreamed, civil rights leaders fought, and millions of soldiers died.
It's that huge. And yet, so many people -- nearly half! -- choose not to vote, because they're busy, or uninterested, or feel like their vote doesn't matter.
It does. It matters so much.
Please vote today!

I wish I could vote in America!
ReplyDeleteHeading to vote at my lunch break. I can't stand the negative ad campaigns; even though most TV I watch is DVR'ed where I can forward through commercials, they still slip in.
ReplyDeleteLove to vote. Been doing it for a lot of years.

Great reminder! I voted yesterday. It's always a very proud moment, no matter how the election turns out.
