This Week's Topic is: Back to school time! What's your favorite book that you had to read for a class?
Road Trip Song of the Week: "I Can Tell That We Are Gonna Be Friends" by The White Stripes
Next week's topic: What word processing program do you use to write you manuscript, and can you share one handy trick you've learned in that program that has helped you while you write?
Of all the books I read in school, here's my favorite.
ReplyDeleteGreat topic this week! Can't wait to see what everyone says.
ReplyDeleteMy answer surprised even me. Required Reading
ReplyDeleteI didn't write a post for that because 1) I was in Brazil during HS and then US during college. If it was during HS, all books were Brazilian classics. Boring stuff. 2) And I honestly can't think of any book I had to read for class that I liked. Seriously, none! My teachers/professors weren't nice on their choices ;)
ReplyDeleteThere are so many to choose from!
ReplyDeleteMy choice is here:

There were a lot to choose from! But my choice was EASY. http://alisonmiller20.blogspot.com/2012/09/rtw-oldie-but-greatie.html
ReplyDeleteMy favorite required reading book was probably The Grapes of Wrath. I still re-read it about every 5-6 years and it seems like a different book every time.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know anything about this Blog Carnival, but by chance, I also blogged about reading and what was the book that hooked you. I guess with school starting, we're all 'going back to school' even if it's just in our memories.
WOWA that long weekend threw me out, almost forgot it was Wednesday! I read some great books and some terrible books at school. Neverthelesshere's mine
ReplyDeleteHere are my two options, depending on how you understand the question. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my post!
ReplyDeleteI answered two ways. One as a former student and one as a future teacher :)
ReplyDeleteI love doing posts like this. It makes me think about why I liked a book despite the fact that someone forced me to read it, which automatically tends to make anyone dislike anything.
ReplyDeleteHere is mine!

ReplyDeleteLove this topic! My choices
ReplyDeleteI don't think there were any required novels that I liked in high school! I did like some of the short stories, though: Yellow Wallpaper, the Lottery, etc. I think that's why I started out writing short stories.
