Welcome to our 131st Road Trip Wednesday!
Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
We'd love for you to participate! Just answer the prompt on your own blog and leave a link - or, if you prefer, you can include your answer in the comments.
This Week's Topic:
What Faction Are You?
In honor of our Bookmobile Book of the Month, Veronica Roth's INSURGENT, we want to know which of the five factions in the DIVERGENT series would you choose? Here's a great breakdown of the five factions, and if you're on the fence, you can even take the quiz for a hint!
And don't forget that Veronica Roth will be answering your questions in a live chat HERE next Tuesday, May 29!
Road Trip Song of the Week: "My Kind of People" by Cee-Lo Green
Next week’s topic: What writing conference(s) would you love to go to?
Yay, it's up before i'm off to sleep!

Here's my response.
ReplyDeleteQ: Are we not doing a "Book of the Month" this month?
I answered this question on Insurgent's release day, but I will certainly share again!

Deciding was not easy for me but here my response!

Rather surprised that the quiz said I'm Candor; would have thought I'd be Erudite for sure.

The little quiz said I was Candor...interesting. I thought of myself more as Amity.
ReplyDeleteYes yes yes, I love this! I got Erudite on the test but that's not what I'd choose. Here's my post.
ReplyDeleteCan I pick Divergent? I am so all over the map personality-wise (is Gemini a faction?) that I genuinely show traits from all the factions. But I kind of think that's the point of the books, too--that it's fighting human nature to so rigidly divide people into groups. We all have these aspects and make our own decisions every day that suppress or encourage those aspects.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't figure out which one I was so I took the quiz. Here's what I got (and it was a SURPRISE):

I feel like I'm joining the bad guys but they suit me better than the others. Here's my answer.
ReplyDeleteI didn't do the quiz, but knowing myself and what I'm like, this is how I figure it would all go down: Here’s mine.
ReplyDeleteThis was fun. Here's mine!
ReplyDeleteOh, I so know where I'd land - the quiz just confirmed it!
ReplyDeleteMy Faction!

Which DIVERGENT faction am I? (Spoiler alert: I'm not)

Amity. I picked mine, then took the quiz, but I got a Facebook error message. Weird. Anyway, I guessed I would be Amity and that's what the quiz said. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteI went against the quiz and followed my heeeeeeaaartttt ~ Turns out my heart's a hippy.

I would hope to be Divergent, but Divergent or not, Amity would be my home :)
ReplyDeleteI am Amity all the way, though it would be fun to be Divergent! Also, here's my review of Insurgent. The short version? LOVED IT!
ReplyDeleteI'm an Abnegation-born Dauntless. Sound familiar?

Amity, until the end.
