Welcome to our 130th Road Trip Wednesday!
Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
We'd love for you to participate! Just answer the prompt on your own blog and leave a link - or, if you prefer, you can include your answer in the comments.
This Week's Topic: What book brings back memories?
Road Trip Song of the Week: "My Favourite Book" by Stars
Next week’s topic: INSURGENT theme! What faction are you?
All of the Richard Scarry books. When I was a kid I used to stare at the pictures and make up my own stories about the characters.
ReplyDeleteI guess that should have been a clue that I was meant to be a writer.
Nostalgia! Here’s my answer.
ReplyDeleteHere's my answer: books and memories
ReplyDeleteI read Ender's Game about once every year or two. I was awestruck by this book when I was in middle school, and re-reading it helps me reclaim that feeling!
ReplyDeleteMine just live on my bookshelf until I read them again :). I did write fanfiction and role play after falling in love with the world and characters of certain books and TV shows.
ReplyDeleteI luuuurve this question! My answer: http://kiperoo.wordpress.com/2012/05/16/what-book-brings-back-memories/
ReplyDeleteHere's mine. And thanks for giving us next week's topic! I have a week to think about it, though I'm fairly sure I know the answer already. :)
ReplyDeleteI just want to second Colin--I like being able to see next week's topic.
DeleteExcellent! We're going to try our best to make sure each week includes next week's topic from now on :)
DeleteSweet! It's nice to have time to ruminate :)

ReplyDeleteBasically a chance for me to shout my love for a bunch of anthropomorphized (!) elephants: http://caitlinedarrell.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/rtw-book-for-memory-lane.html
ReplyDeleteMine is Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows, of course. I'm such a Ravenclaw. I wrote about it back when I did my HP reread last summer, so here's that link. Blanket warning for anyone who's never read HP before- there be spoilers. http://jeskuh.blogspot.com/2011/07/reread-2011-harry-potter-and-deathly.html
ReplyDeleteAnything I've ever checked out of the public library in person over a summer. I just touch the book or think about it and I can tell you when I took it out and what the day was like in the library and where it was located -- the Molly Moon books in particular!
ReplyDeleteThis one stumped me, a little:
