Road Trip Wednesday is a "Blog Carnival," where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
We'd love for you to participate! Just answer the prompt on your own blog and leave a link -- or, if you prefer, you can include your answer in the comments.
This week's topic:
What are your writing and publishing superpowers (drafting? beta-reading? writing queries? plotting? character creation? etc.) -- and what's your kryptonite?
Road Trip Song of the Week:

Anyone else have a ton of kryptonite?!

I think my kryptonite and super-power is sort of the same thing. It's been a while since I've joined in. Good to be back!

This was hard, and I'm not 100% convinced of my answer, but for what it's worth, here it is:

Here y'all go! Another trip into the inner workings of moi. Bring goggles and an umbrella. My psyche likes to throw hard things.
ReplyDeleteOver Yonder
not blogging today (as usual!), but my superpowers are probably character and setting, while my kryptonite is plotting -- especially the dreaded middle. fortunately, I've developed lots of coping mechanisms!
ReplyDeleteI am mighty, as long as I keep that kryptonite in a box.

I have some great powers, but some heavy kryptonite too!
ReplyDeleteI am DOOM!
yea, I think I picked Doom just for that catchphrase alone.

ReplyDeleteI can't figure out if I was too generous, or not generous enough. :/
What a coincidence - I'm currently brainstorming superpowers and magic for my WIP.

Yeah :-) Excited to finally have started Road Trip Wednesday...Here is my take on the question Superpowers and kryptonite
ReplyDeleteI've been pondering this lately and have quite a few. Here's mine:

ReplyDeleteTonight I am going to treat myself and sit on the couch and read all of these blog posts. It's been a while and I could use the distraction.

This one's fun and easy.
ReplyDeleteMy superpower: dialogue. I love writing dialogue, and I think I'm pretty good at it.
My kryptonite: Plot/structure. It is so hard for me to effectively create a satisfying arc. I'm working on it, but it's just really challenging.
Feeling inspired by today's question.
ReplyDeleteThis was fun! And oh yeah, I've got kryptonite:
