Road Trip Wednesday #92: Real Life Settings

credit
Welcome to our 92nd Road Trip Wednesday!

Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question and answer it on our own blogs. You can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.

We'd love for you to participate! Just answer the prompt on your own blog and leave a link in the comments - or, if you prefer, you can include your answer in the comments.
This week's question:
What is the most inspiring setting you've ever visited in real life?

Michelle Schusterman

Michelle writes books for kids, screenplays for a tv/film production company, and music for anyone who'd buy a "groove matters" bumper sticker. She lives in New York City with her husband (and band mate) and their chocolate lab (who is more of a vocalist). She is the author of middle grade series I Heart Band - 2014, and The Kat Sinclair Files - 2015 (both from Grosset).

  1. Oh man. There are so many... I don't think I can narrow it down to just one. Venice would be near the top of the list, though. My jaw literally dropped the first time I rode out onto the canal. One of the strangest and most beautiful cities I've ever seen.

  2. I cheated a smidge and posted a few places that inspire me for various story settings, and just for life in general ;)

  13. Swiss alps. After reading Heidi so many times as a kid, I finally found myself in the Swiss alps at age sixteen and was bewitched.

Besides my own bed at the end of a long day, I've never seen or felt anything as beautiful as a flower-covered mountainside on a perfect summer day.
