Road Trip Wednesday is a ‘Blog Carnival,’ where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing- or reading-related question that begs to be answered. In the comments, you can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
We'd love for you to participate! Just answer the prompt on your own blog and leave a link - or, if you prefer, you can include your answer in the comments.
The house is on fire and you've only got time to grab five things. What are they?

This one was a really hard one for me. I made a quick list of things and I ended up with 10 so I had to narrow it down.
ReplyDeleteMy five...

This is me... but now I'm genuinely worried about how I would achieve these tasks before my house burned down!

ReplyDeleteHere is my list I am surprised how easy that actually was. Wow.
ReplyDeleteSuch an easy one this time.

I thought of the obvious things like photos and manuscripts, but truthfully I have those in other places so that's not so urgent.
ReplyDeleteIt's the little things I don't notice on a day-to-day basis that I'd miss: a Balinese carving of a seal I got years ago, the books my niece and nephew handcrafted when they were little, etc.
P.S. I noticed that a few posts include advice to back up important digital informaion offsite, which I recommend! I also do a video walk-through of the house and give a disk to our insurance agent. You'd be surprised at how many things you can't recall in the event of a disaster, and this saves some time and heartbreak.

ReplyDeleteNot easy to leave things behind or decide what to take....
I didn't realize this genre was popular-YA. It is however timely that I just finished and published a novel 2 months ago. WILD-Teen Odyssey. It is a rollicking raunchy book, a tale of two hell-bent heathens barreling boozily through young adulthood in an era when wild was the ultimate aspiration. Order at 22wild.com enjoy the pics and music and buy the book- You'll love it and be talking to your friends about it. Thanks Steve Blankenship
ReplyDeleteWILD-Teen Odyssey by Steve Blankenship Order at 22wild.com
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the music and pics on my website then purchase WILD. I promise you won't regret it. It is a 380 page thrill-ride-rife with sex-humor and violence.
Thanks Steve Blankenship

ReplyDeleteFive things? Does the laptop and its charger count as one? haha... *Pretends I have the time to actually gather said stuff* For me it'd have to be: computer, computer charger, external hard drive, box of important documents, and a 1945 double day edition of Pride and Prejudice which I 'borrowed' from my dad, because the illustrations are awesome and nothing can replace that old book smell.
