Road Trip Wednesday is a "Blog Carnival", where YA Highway's contributors post a weekly writing or reading-related question and answer it in on our own blogs. You can hop from destination to destination and get everybody's unique take on the topic.
You're more than welcome to participate! Just answer the question/topic on your own blog, and leave a link to it in the comments.
We're absolutely thrilled about our new followers - and we adore our old! So for this Road Trip Wednesday, we want to get to know a little bit about your reading habits. This week, we'd love for our RTW participants to answer these three questions:
1) What are the three best books you've read this year?
2) If you could meet one author (living or dead), who would it be?
3) What book are you most looking forward to in 2010?
2) If you could meet one author (living or dead), who would it be?
3) What book are you most looking forward to in 2010?
- Michelle Shusterman: "I imagine it would be the closest I’d ever get to actually meeting Willy Wonka in person. . .
- Kaitlin Ward: "Okay, so this question might be easier if it were what one book . . ."
- Leila Austen: "In a word, this book is stunning. Simply stunning . . ."
- Amanda Hannah: "Marchetta + High Fantasy? Destined to be grand . . ."
- Kody Keplinger: "She plots like no other, and I want a peek into her brain . . ."
- Lee Bross: "I . . . am forever saying "this is the best book ever" . . ."
- Kristin Briana Otts: "Because without him, I would not be a writer . . ."
- Kristin Miller: "Jane might edge out Mark because she'd be easier to take into polite society . . ."
- Kirsten Hubbard: "It's just a bunch of teeny tiny illustrated vignettes, all surrealism, all absolutely staggering. . ."
Don't have a blog? That's all right. We still want to hear your answers! Feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below.
And don't forget to enter our AWESOME holiday giveaway!
This made me realize I want to meet a lot more authors than I initially suspected...and that there are a lot more books to read in 2010 than I initially planned. Lovely. :)

Fun times! I really enjoyed this.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts are here.
here is a link to my past post on my five all time favorite books (sadly, I didn't read them all this year). But I have read more than 100 books this year.

That "The King and I" song, "Getting to Know You" is very stuck in my head now...
It is done. Have a look-see. I feel sorta guilty that none of them are YA. Maybe it'll be different next year, seeing as how it's part of a resolution. It's up.
ReplyDeleteLike many of the others, I realized there are a lot more books on my TBR pile for 2010 than I realized, and a lot more authors I would love to shake hands with! It's nearly impossible to pick a top 3, so I grabbed the first three that came to mind.
