I like anagrams. Maybe a little too much. This isn't a real contest, but just for grins, lets see if you can figure out which yaHighway bloggers I'm listing, and better yet – the real name of her finished novel and/or WIP.
1. Name Anagram: Trim in Killers
Novel: Lovingly Wonder – Doze in Wall (WIP) – Vilest Coat (WIP)
2. Name Anagram: Dark Tail Win (but her full name is Wreak in Hatred)
Novel: What, Nude? – Dine, Git (WIP)
3. Name Anagram: I'm the Charmless Uncle
Novel: Peculiar as Dogs – So Frosty Fetish (WIP)
4. Name Anagram: An Ha Ha! And Man...
Novel: Wall or Clashing
5. Name Anagram: Kind, Brash Brute
Novel: Man-Like Drain – Reveal Down (WIP) – Crudest Fool (WIP)
You know, some of those titles are books begging to be written. Who wouldn't pick up What, Nude at Borders?
Feel like having some fun with your name (or WIP, or characters)? This anagram generator is a fabulous procrastination tool. Post yours in the comments section!

Man-Like Drain. Intriguing. I'm assuming that one's Like Mandarin.
ReplyDeleteApparently my name anagrams to Alas! Inutile. And the working title of my WIP anagrams to By Tidier Featherhead. So yeah, turns out I'm not writing a novel at all. I'm writing a bed advertisement.
I tried it out with both the first book of my WIP as well as the name of the whole series. Here's what kicked back.
ReplyDeleteBook 1:
Raven Academy -> VERY ACE AN AM
Series:
Citadel of Kidrodell -> Addicted Fool Killers
My Name:
John Rea-Hedrick -> Heroic Hand Jerk
(Hmm, not a very {ahem} savory pen name!)
Now, if you REALLY want to waste, er, spend some time with anagrams try this one I found.
http://wordsmith.org/anagram/
My series title alone kicked back 58,824 possibilities!
But if you go the advanced page, that's where the real fun begins.

You can lose yourself customizing your anagram returns by language, by word count, must include words and lots more.
Here are the anagrams I chose using this one:
Raven Academy -> Daycare Maven
Citadel of Kidrodell -> A Diced Folklore Lit (awesome!)
John Rea-Hedrick -> Hadji Horncreek
It IS very addictive. You have been warned!!!
Thanks again Michele for anagram suggestion . . . I think.
:)
This was a fun post. I don't have guesses on all the titles I just wanted to post that I tried all my main characters names in the anagram generator and my main love interest came back as SNAKY MOLESTER! I'm not sure if that's a sign from the universe or what!
ReplyDeleteWow, what cool results!
ReplyDeleteLeila: What's the real name of your WIP? (I'm wondering if it includes the name Heather - my sister's name!)
John: That is just....an awesome, awesome pen name. And I forgot about wordsmith.org! It is super addictive. My name yielded rather frightening results involving churchmen and semen.
Valerie: Keep an eye on that love interest! Yikes!!
Holy Spicoli that thing is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteName anagram: Clodlike Him Hen
WIP: Merry of Bouncing Meathead
I'm still laughing :) Thanks for this!
Bouncing Meathead!! Greatness.
ReplyDeleteBouncing Meathead is pure awesomeness.
ReplyDeleteThe current name of my WIP is The Day I Breathed Fire. Never noticed it had all the letters for Heather in it until now :-)
